The win gave Piedmont its second consecutive state title.

Mobile Christian struck first on a 37-yard pass from Cam Horne to Eric Poellnitz in the first quarter. The Piedmont defense slowed the Leopards’ offense for the remainder of the game, allowing just 203 total yards.

Mobile Christian tightened the game with a late touchdown, but Piedmont recovered an onside kick with 3:52 remaining and drained the clock.
