BREAKING: APD identifies shooting suspect; described as ‘armed and dangerous’

A suspect sought in connection to a Thursday night shooting on Brownsferry Street has been identified by the Athens Police Department.
Police Chief Floyd Johnson said first-degree assault warrants have been issued for 25-year-old Kevaun Roosevelt Turner. He is described as a black male, five-foot-10 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. His last known address was in Athens, but Johnson said he has been in Pulaski and other locations in Limestone County since the shooting.
Johnson said Turner should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who has contact with Turner is asked to call their nearest law enforcement agency or the Athens Police Department at 256-233-8700.
