End of life planning event

Hospice of Limestone County, Athens-Limestone Hospital and Athens State University are sponsoring a community event on the importance of end of life planning at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Athens State ballroom. CEMETERY CLEANUPS

• O’Neal Cemetery. Decoration Day is Saturday, May 7. If unable to attend, donations made out to O’Neal Cemetery can be mailed to: Charlotte Bates, 10576 U.S. 72, Athens, AL 35611.

• Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Annual cleanup begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 7. Participants are being asked to help make “the cemetery look nice for Mother’s Day.” Old flowers will be removed. Transportation is available through Limestone County Council on Aging for all senior citizens of Limestone County.
