Clifford Ray Logan, 84, of Spring Valley was gathered to his people on Thursday, March 3, 2016.
Visitation is 2-3 p.m. Sunday, March 6 at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Greg Beasley, Eddie Williamson and Tyler Logan officiating. Burial will be at Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Logan was the son of Claude and Beulah Hester Logan and was born April 22, 1931, on the Willingham Home Place in the Mountain Springs Community.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Exie “Jackie” Logan. His children are Deborah L. Ezell and husband Garner of Athens, Cheryl L. McGee and husband Tim of Leighton, and Douglas Logan and wife Janet of Memphis, Tennessee.
Grandchildren are Andrew McGee, J.D. (Kelly) of Muscle Shoals, Dr. Rebecca McGee Holland of Muscle Shoals, Tyler Logan and wife Lesha, music minister, of Austin, Texas, Zachary Logan, musician, of Memphis, coach Rob Ezell, University of Alabama, in Tuscaloosa, and David Ezell, minister, Scandicci, Italy; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Logan; and sisters, Rumell Cheatham, Madeline Clement, Beatrice Vandiver and Helen Jeffreys.
Siblings who remain are Dalton Logan, Veston Logan, Maurice Logan, Nettie Kimbrough, Maxine Kizziah and Joyce Rimmer.
Mr. Logan was a graduate of Colbert County High School and retired from Ford Motor Company.
He instilled in his children a love of gospel music. He was a member of Spring Valley Church of God, where he served for many years as song leader.
Pallbearers are Tyler Logan, Andrew McGee, Rob Ezell, Trent Jeffreys, David Logan, Zachary Logan and Harold Ray Brownlow Jr.
