GULF SHORES, Ala. (AP) — Authorities in coastal Alabama say three people have been injured in a parasailing accident.

Gulf Shores Police spokeswoman Abby Rhodes tells Al.com (http://bit.ly/1R2PgxW ) the line securing the parasailers to a boat broke Tuesday afternoon. Rhodes says one of the injured parasailers has been treated and released from a local hospital and two others are hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Rhodes says the U.S. Coast Guard is investigating.
