Athens State University will offer ballroom dancing classes beginning Nov. 17.

Dr. Yvette Bolen, who has 15 years experience teaching dance at a college level and 20 years experience in choreography, will instruct a beginner’s class in the waltz and cha-cha. Registration is now under way for the classes, which will be at 6:30 p.m. Mondays for five weeks. Classes end Dec. 12 with a social so students can showcase dancing skills.

The fee is $75 per participant.

Proceeds go to assist Athens State University student tuition. The fee includes a CD with popular songs appropriate for the waltz and cha-cha.
