Piper K. Earnist and Donnie L. Hill, both of Athens, were married in a noon ceremony Dec. 27.

The bride is the daughter of Jackie and Jerry Watson of Dublin, Va., and Wayne Earnist of Arcadia, Fla. She is employed by The News Courier.

The groom is the son of Don and Dot Hill of Athens. He is employed by the city of Athens.

The bride was given in marriage by her son, Ryan C. Balch.

A reception followed the ceremony at Seven Mile Post Road.
