Athens, Athens Bible School and Ardmore remained ranked in the latest ASWA softball poll, released Thursday. ABS (12-4) was the highest ranked team at No. 6 in 1A.

Ardmore (11-8-1) is ranked No. 7 in 4A while Athens (15-6) is ranked No. 9 in Class 5A.

Other area teams ranked in the softball poll were No. 1 Sparkman in 6A. The number one softball teams in their respective their respective classes are Curry (5A), ACA (4A), Pisgah (3A), Idea (2A) and Sumiton Christian (1A).

Ardmore continued to be the only Limestone County baseball team ranked. The Tigers are ranked No. 7 in the latest 4A poll. Other area baseball teams ranked were No. 1 Sparkman in 6A and No. 9 Lauderdale County in 3A.

The top-ranked baseball teams are Spanish Fort (5A), Charles Henderson (4A), Deshler (3A), G.W. Long (13-5) and St. Luke’s (1A).
