Jerry Barnett

Jerry Wayne Barnett, 70, of Athens died Sunday Nov. 16, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home with Bob Watson and Ted Davis officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Barnett was born July 12, 1944, in Limestone County, he was a member of New Hope Church of Christ, retired from Delphi in Decatur and he was a member of Alabama Cattleman’s Association. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Barnett of Athens; two daughters, Rhonda Barnett Moss and Dana Barnett Jackson, both of Athens; a brother, Billy W. Barnett of Athens, and five Grandchildren.

Betty Crunk

Betty Borden Crunk, 77, of Athens died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at her home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Baptist Church. Visitation will be from noon until time for the service Tuesday at the church.

Burial will be in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.

Douglas Hazlitt

The funeral for Douglas Wayne Hazlitt will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Marcus Baker officiating and Mason Chapel Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.

Dorothy Jackson

Dorothy T. “Billie” Jackson, 84, of Leeds, passed away on Sunday, Nov, 16, 2014.

Mrs. Jackson is preceded in death by her husband, Willard “Stoney” Jackson, and a sister, Ellistine Aycock.

She is survived by her daughter, Marian Jackson LaFonte (Harold); a son, Jeffery T. Jackson (Lisa; a brother, Curtis Thames; and grandchildren, Jennifer, Katie, Laura, Matthew, and great grandchildren, Chase, Payton, and Zachary.

Graveside Services will be held at noon on Wednesday at Athens City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Arum Noble

The funeral for Arum Neutravali Noble, 42, will be at noon Thursday at Round Island Creek Mission Center on Lucas Ferry Road with the Rev. Willie J. Mangruen officiating and Peoples Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church from 11 a.m. Thursday until time for the service.

Burial will be in Thatch-Mann Cemetery.

Emma Jean Pugh

The funeral for Emma Jean Pugh, 74 , of Athens, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McConnell Funeral Home with Doug McCurry officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at McConnell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pugh died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital.

She was born Feb. 3, 1940, in Limestone County to Jesse Cogan and Alma Grahm.

Mrs. Pugh is preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Terry Pugh.

She is survived by her husband, James Pugh; two sons, Dennis Pugh and wife, Alecia, and Randall Pugh and wife, Stephanie; one daughter, Teresa Jordan and husband, Kenneth; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ella Faye Lock and husband, Buddy.

Pallbearers will be Randall Pugh, Dennis Pugh, Kenny Hubert, Lance Burnett, Alan Pugh, James Poteete and Allen Tinnon.

Trudie Raney

Trudie Rebecca Rose Raney, 100, of Moulton and formerly of Rogersville, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at her son’s residence. She was born Aug. 14, 1914, to Marcus Dee Rose and Lou Vena Dabbs Rose in Athens.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m.Thursday at Rogersville Funeral Home. The funeral will follow immediately in the chapel with Alex Bayes and Denny Bowling officiating. Burial will be in Civitan Cemetery.

Mrs. Raney is survived by two sons, Dennis L. Raney of Moulton and Clifton L. (Betty) Rose of Ohio; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren.

Kenneth Turner

The funeral for Kenneth Turner, 24, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Round Island Creek Mission Center on Lucas Ferry Road with Bobby Sledge officiating and Peoples Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church from noon Saturday until time for the service.

A family visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Peoples Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Thatch-Mann Cemetery.

Carolyn Yarum

Carolyn Frances Yarum, 66, of Decatur died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Spry Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mrs. Yarum was born March 10, 1948, and she was a homemaker.

Survivors include three daughters, Brandy Adams of Decatur, Beverly Wray of Ardmore, and Christina Adams of Louisville; two sons, Jerry Williams of Moulton and Johnny Adams of Decatur; a brother, Grady Lee Pope Jr. of Eva; and eight grandchildren.
