Some of the Athens City Schools System had the opportunity to attend Alabama Space Academy for Educators at the US Space and Rocket Center. These educators had an out-of-this-world experience participating in astronaut training simulations, hands-on STEM challenges, simulated missions and more. Teachers participating include: Angela Wagner, AHS; Brooke Jaep and Rachael Knox, CES; Thomasena Garner, ARS and Ramona Malone/ACS.
