West Limestone’s softball team is rounding into form at just the right time.

The Class 4A No. 3 Wildcats secured the gold bracket title at this weekend’s Northwest Alabama Bash in Florence, delivering a perfect 7-0 performance to improve to 39-5.

Coach Molly Fenn’s squad, which outscored its opponents 66-12, defeated Florence and Independence on Friday before downing Giles County, Lauderdale County, Athens, Winfield and Sulligent on Saturday.

Area tournaments start this week for local teams.
