The springtime spirit will be hard to miss in downtown Elkmont when the first weekend in May rolls around. On Saturday, May 3, the town will host the Elkmont Spring Festival, a free-to-attend event that offers plenty of outdoor fund for the whole family.

Set to run from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., the festival will feature an array of carnival rides, unique craft booths from area vendors, and a cruise-in where all registered car and motorcycle participants will be eligible for cash prizes — and the first 20 registrants can score a free cap.

There’ll also be live music throughout the evening from Daniel Jones, the Hogan Family, and Sector 8; plus lots of local food from Ramona J’s, Sandman Sandmiches, Frosty Pop and area school organizations.

If you want to take part in the cruise-in, you can register your vehicle the day of the event at the parking lot of the Elkmont Church of Christ. Want to be a vendor? Contact Jada Miller-Young at 256-777-0449 before April 26 to get started.
