Progress 2025: Pryor Field inks deal with new aircraft maintenance operation

The first North Alabama Airfest in June 2023 brought hundreds of eventgoers of all ages to Pryor Field, the second ever airfest will take place in late 2025 or early 2026.

Pryor Field Airport Authority has signed a lease agreement with a new maintenance, repair and overhaul company to serve the needs of the general aviation and business aviation customers flying into North Alabama, according to a release from Pryor Field Airport Authority.
FTair, LLC, is now located at Pryor Field Regional Airport (DCU) offering maintenance, overhaul and avionics services to the flying community that frequents the Huntsville Metro and the Tennessee Valley.
“I am excited to see more growth at Pryor Field (DCU) and the potential that it brings to our area and our customers,” stated Airport Director Adam Fox. “Providing comprehensive maintenance and avionics support to the business and general aviation customers based at DCU, or those flying to our airport, is critical to our success.”
FTair is a certified 145 Repair Station with corporate offices located in Memphis, Tennessee. The Part 145 aircraft maintenance and aviation management company began as Tunica Air Group in Tunica, Mississippi in 2006. As it outgrew its original location and moved to Memphis in 2008, the company changed its name to Total Air Group. In 2020 it merged with the FTA family and integrated with FTair in 2022. FTair’s business pursuits are in general, corporate, and commercial aircraft services, as well as asset management.
