The National Weather Service has projected around an inch of snow accumulation for the Athens, Limestone County area starting at 3 a.m. and lasting until 8 a.m. Due to expected inclement weather and hazardous road conditions, the Athens State University campus will delay opening on Wednesday, Feb. 19, until 11 a.m.

Operations will continue remotely where possible, and affected on-campus classes will be held virtually. We will continue to monitor conditions and will provide updates as needed.
