$2.2 billion project unveiled for North Alabama

MOORESVILLE – Rochford Realty & Construction Co., Inc. and Land Innovations, LLC, will begin re-shaping a portion North Alabama after signing a contract for a large project that will lie between Huntsville and Decatur, according to a press release from the Limestone County Economic Development Association. The project will span 411 acres at the crossroads of I-65 and I-565.
“This partnership between Rochford Realty & Construction Co., Inc., and Land Innovations, LLC, brings a new era of growth and opportunity,” said Bethany Shockney, president and CEO of Limestone County Economic Development Association, “promising to create jobs, attract investment and enhance the quality of life for residents and tourists.”
According to the release, the project is estimated to create more than 3,500 residential units and 200,000 square feet of commercial space, reflecting an estimated valuation of $2.2 billion upon completion.
The development will implement a new urbanist designs, according to the release, placing emphasis on the human element by prioritizing walkability, mixed-use spaces and community interaction.
Rochford Realty & Construction Co., Inc. and Land Innovations, LLC will look talk with local people to ensure that the project reflects the values of Mooresville and its residents, according to the release.
