Athens’ varsity girls and Tanner’s varsity boys are headed to Huntsville. 

The No. 7 Golden Eagles (14-7-4) knocked off Hartselle 3-0 on Thursday night to advance to the Class 6A Final Four, where they will duke it out against the winner of top-ranked Mountain Brook and Mortimer Jordan next Thursday at 9 a.m. 

The Class 1A-3A No. 4 Rattlers, meanwhile, improved to 18-5-1 following a 2-1 win over No. 2 Susan Moore. 

Justin Moreno and Randy Cortes scored the goals for the road team.

Tanner will play No. 3 Westminster-Oak Mountain next Wednesday at 11 a.m. 

Both matches will be contested at John Hunt Park.
