The season ended for Athens Bible following a second-round loss to No. 2 Sumiton Christian in the Class 1A playoffs on Thursday. 

The Trojans (13-14) dropped the opener 9-0 before falling 7-1 in the nightcap. 

Athens Bible was held to just one hit — an Ethan Johnson single in the first inning — in Game 1. 

The Trojans got an RBI walk from Luke Murrell in Game 2. Weston Todd (two), Murrell (one) and Ethan Barnes (one) provided the hits.
