West Limestone’s baseball team downed Rogers 10-0 on Saturday, finishing off a sweep of the Class 4A, Area 16 series to punch its ticket to the playoffs. 

Braxton Griffin allowed just one hit and scattered five strikeouts over five strong innings. He — along with Landen Word — also had two RBIs. Cade Carpenter, meanwhile, went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. His clutch grand slam during Friday’s opener helped the Wildcats break a 6-6 tie and come away with a 10-7 win over Rogers.
