As a part of the organization’s dedication to serving the community, the Athens Ladies Civitan Club recently hosted its annual Pastor Appreciation Luncheon to honor Athens-Limestone’s church leadership.

Pastors from several churches, such as West Highland Baptist, Athens First Methodist, First Baptist, First Christian, Friendship, Sardis Springs Baptist, Lindsay Lane Baptist and Emmanuel Baptist, as well as the Limestone Baptist Association gathered to enjoy the meal provided by the club.

Homemade soups, sandwiches and desserts were served.

Pastor Joe Teal with West Highland Baptist Church spoke of the importance of godly women in his life and in the Athens-Limestone community alongside the meal.
