Tanner Varsity Boys

Skylar Townsend netted a team-high 19 points, Endymion Tyus pitched in 17 and Tanner’s varsity boys outlasted Whitesburg Christian 60-58 on Tuesday night to win the Class 2A, Area 14 Tournament.

Matt Fletcher joined his teammates in double figures with 12 points as the No. 7 Ratters improved to 16-7 overall.

Coach Dale Taylor’s group will next host Sulligent at 6 p.m. on Saturday in a sub-regional matchup.
