MLK events adjust plans for winter weather

- Athens JROTC presents the colors while The Wallace Sisters sing The National Anthem at the 18th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Program. The 19th annual program will be Jan. 15 beginning with a Unity March at 9 a.m.
Lincoln-Bridgeforth Park Committee has cancelled its Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday event.
The committee that hosts the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday March in Athens followed by a program at the Alabama Veterans Museum is postponing Monday’s event to Jan. 21 at 2 p.m., location to be determined.
