While renovations were happening for the Athens event venue Market & Monroe, the owners began researching the property and found old photos of a Coca-Cola mural that was located on the side of the building. The owners fell in love with the idea of bringing the mural back and work is under way to do just that.

The Coca-Cola Company has a program funding preservation projects around the country and has commissioned accomplished artist Brian Tull to recreate the 1900s classic-style mural.

“They were eager to invest back into our business and our community,” Market & Monroe said of Coca-Cola Company’s involvement in the project.
