HEART Academy at Julian Newman Elementary Parent Teacher Friend organization hosted the second annual color run on Friday, Sept. 29.

Opening ceremonies began at 5:15 p.m., and students were blasted with color during their grade-level run/walk.

The change in location, due to construction at Julian Newman’s former campus, didn’t stop the fun. Students, friends and family enjoyed inflatables, food trucks and a silent auction at the JNES Clinton Street campus.

Sharla Birdsong, HEART Academy at Julian Newman Principal, was grateful for the effort that went into organizing and executing the event.

“We are so grateful to all of our sponsors, donors, and our amazing PTF organizers who have worked diligently on this fun event for our school family and friends,” Birdsong said.
