ALEA: Crash claims life of Decatur man

A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, has claimed the life of a Decatur man, according to Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Anthony C. Williams, 39, was killed when the 2016 Ford Escape that he was driving left the roadway, struck a rock embankment and entered the Tennessee River. Williams was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Rockhouse Road near Refuge Road, approximately four miles east of Decatur, in Limestone County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
