On Friday, Oct. 28, children were invited to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes and go trick or treating around the Square in downtown Athens.

Store owners and employees were standing outside of their stores to pass out candy and participate in the festivities to kick off Halloween weekend in a sweet fashion.
