- The Athens City School Board holds a special called meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
A correction has been made to note that Kelly Matthews was hired as an ELA teacher, not a CLA teacher.
On Tuesday, the Athens City Board of Education held a special called meeting.
The board unanimously approved the following personnel actions:
- The employment of Kelly Matthews, ELA teacher at Athens Renaissance School
- The termination of Rick Carter, tenured teacher
The board unanimously approved a contract with McKee and Associates for the Athens Middle School Canopy Project.
