The following restaurant ratings and critical items were reported May 17–21 by the Limestone County Department of Health:

• Greenbrier Fuel City, 6681 Swancott Road, Madison — 78 (paper towels and soap not provided at any hand sink – corrected onsite, fries at 119 degrees and jalapeno poppers at 118 degrees in hot holding unit, soda and ICEE machines had black residue on nozzles, lettuce at 53 degrees and tomatoes at 48 degrees in cold holding unit);

• Midpointe Chevron, 24999 U.S. 72, Athens — 81 (chemical test strips not provided for Quat sanitizer, chicken sandwich made within four hours but did not have time stamp and was 120 degrees, approved course not provided by an employee present during the inspection, temperature was 103 degrees at beginning of inspection and kept declining to 93 degrees – establishment permit was suspended – abated May 18);

• China Dragon VI, 12060-H County Line Road, Madison — 82 (cabbage sitting out at 62 degrees, slaw at 63 degrees and cooked noodles at 46 degrees and sitting out, chicken at 98 degrees and 109 degrees during hot holding, approved course not provided by an employee present during inspection);

• Sonic No. 3348, 914 U.S. 72 East, Athens — 85 (sliced cheese at 49 degrees during cold holding, shredded cheese at 44 and 46 degrees during cold holding, liquid eggs sitting on top of stove at 72 degrees, fries and tater tots at 109 degrees during hot holding);

• Fiesta Mexicana, 600 S. Jefferson St., Athens — 86 (cooked chicken at 119 degrees and cheese dip at 125 degrees sitting out on counter, cooked chicken and raw chicken at 53 degrees in walk-in cooler, beans and cheese dip at 53 degrees in walk-in cooler, salsa at 53 degrees in walk-in cooler, salsa at 45 degrees in reach-in unit);

• Canebrake Club LLC, 23015 Founders Circle, Athens — 86 (hamburgers and cooked noodles at 46 degrees in reach-in cooler, cheese and hot dogs at 45 degrees in reach-in cooler, scalloped potatoes at 46 degrees in reach-in cooler, highest registering temperature at ware-washing sink and restroom hand sinks was 95 degrees, paper towels not provided at hand sinks);

• Tanner Chevron, 20531 Huntsville-Browns Ferry Road, Athens — 86 (salsa and meat at 65 degrees in walk-in cooler, approved course not provided by an employee present during inspection);

• Dairy Queen Grill & Chill, 11128 County Line Road, Madison — 87 (milk sitting out on counter at 51 degrees, residue in ice chute);

• Best Mart, 25510 Nick Davis Road, Athens — 88 (cheese sauce bottle states to refrigerate after opening but was at 72 degrees and left sitting on counter, chemical test strips not provided during inspection);

• Subway No. 34735, 1 Aviation Way, Madison — 88 (soda and tea nozzles had black residue, dirty bread liners were store with clean liners, bread liners torn and not cleanable);
