District 4 Commissioner LaDon Townsend has closed News Cut Road between U.S. 72 and Shaw Road until 4 p.m. Tuesday, according to Limestone County Emergency Management Agency Officer Daphne Ellison. 

Residents of Wagon Trail Subdivision should access the subdivision from the U.S. 72 side of New Cut Road, Ellison said.
