• Kids Crusade. Cultivate Church will host a Kids Crusade event — theme: “Sailing With Jesus” — 6-8:30 p.m. today through July 3 at Athens Plaza on U.S. 31. Visit www.cultivateathens.org to register your child for free.

• Car festival. HCCNA will hold a car festival beginning at 9:30 a.m. and continuing through the day Sunday, July 7, at the church at 14800 Vishnu Way, Harvest. More information: 256-771-7730.

• Homecoming. Little Ezekiel Missionary Baptist Church, 16439 Lindsay Road, Tanner, will celebrate homecoming 11 a.m. Sunday, July 7. Timothy Townsend, senior pastor of Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, will be guest speaker accompanied by Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church and choir. All members, former members, family and friends are invited to come worship and fellowship with us.

• Revival. David’s Temple Missionary Baptist Church will host a revival series 6:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, July 8–10, at the church, 11273 Stewart Road, Tanner. Guest speakers are as follows: Monday, Pastor James Looney of St. Bartlett Primitive Baptist Church in Huntsville; Tuesday, Pastor Tavaris Townsend of St. Luke M.B. Church in Athens; and Wednesday, Pastor Dalan Waddle of First Baptist Church in Decatur. The Binford Family will be Tuesday’s musical guest.

• Community conversation. Alabama Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America and St. James CPCA will hold a community conversation with children 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at St. James, 920 W. Moulton St., Decatur. Theme: “Character, Courage and Commitment: A Community Conversation with Our Children.” Goal: To discuss concerns and questions brought up by local children.

• Fundraiser. Berea Baptist Church will host gospel singing to raise money for Project Life Saver, 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 12, at the church, 16779 Lucas Ferry Road, Athens. Featured acts include the Berea Choir, Dustin Taylor and Alliance Quartet.

• Temple anniversary celebration. HCCNA will hold temple anniversary celebration and Bahuda Yatra July 12-14 at 14800 Vishnu Way, Harvest. More information: www.HCCNA.com or 256-771-7730.

• Preschool registration. New Life Assembly of God, 16768 U.S. 72, Athens, is enrolling students for its child-development program. The program, for children ages 6 weeks through prekindergarten, is 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Anyone who recommends someone else is eligible for $25 off the first week’s tuition.
