Crews recover body from Wheeler Lake

- Officials with the Limestone County Sheriff's Office and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Marine Patrol gather on a dock at Wheeler Lake Wednesday during a search for an Athens man believed to have drowned Tuesday night.
The body of a man believed to have drowned Tuesday night in Wheeler Lake may have been found this morning, an official said.
Crews had been searching for 56-year-old Derek Lane of Athens since he was reported missing late Tuesday. An Alabama Law Enforcement Agency spokesman said the body has not been positively identified as Lane’s.
Lane and another person were in a boat just off Motter Drive. Authorities have said Lane either fell or jumped from the boat as it approached a dock.
