Centers close 12:30 p.m. Fridays

Menus

Monday: Salisbury steak with apple brown gravy, rosemary potatoes, California blend vegetables, whole-grain bread, chocolate chip cookie, 1% milk, grape juice;

Tuesday: Turkey salad, pasta salad, fresh fruit, wheat bread, lemon pudding, 1% milk, blended juice;

Wednesday: Taco salad with seasoned ground beef, taco sauce, sour cream, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, pinto beans, corn tortilla chips, mini Moon Pie, 1% milk, orange-pineapple juice;

Thursday: Glazed baked ham, parslied mashed potatoes, turnip greens, blushing applesauce, cornbread, sugar cookie, 1% milk or buttermilk;

Friday: Three-bean beef chili, rice, carrots, pears, saltine crackers, white cake, 1% milk or chocolate milk.

Announcements

• The countywide bingo tournament will be held Friday at the Limestone County Event Center on West Pryor Street in Athens;

• The deadline to participate in the Masters Games is Tuesday, June 11. Games begin July 10. If you participated last year, you should have a registration form mailed to you. New forms can be picked up at the Council on Aging office at 503 S. Jefferson St., Suite A, Athens; and

• Council on Aging has a program through Senior Rx that helps residents 55 or older or disabled acquire their prescriptions free. Call Carla Sims at 256-233-6412.
