Teachers learn ag for students

The three teachers were chosen for the Ag in the Classroom Summer Institute at The Shoals Marriott, held May 29–31. Glanton and Evans are kindergarten teachers at Cedar Hill Elementary School, while Peek teaches fourth grade at Athens Intermediate School. The workshop included field trips to active farms in the Shoals and materials for teachers to use in their classrooms to help make students aware of the importance of agriculture in their daily lives.
