Continuing her career

Athens senior softball player Gracie Green will continue her softball career at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Green was joined at a ceremony in the Athens High School Arena by friends and family. With her are her father, Mike Green, left, her brother Michael Green and Athens softball coach Thad Prater, standing. Gracie Green played third base for the Golden Eagles team that won the Class 6A, Area 15 tournament and advanced to the North Regional tournament, winning two games. Prater said Green was a team leader who worked hard to improve her game and is being rewarded with a spot on the UAH team.
