Ardmore’s third game in the Class 5A state tournament was postponed due to rain, and will be played Friday morning.
The Tigers were supposed to play Mortimer Jordan at 7:30 p.m. in a loser’s bracket game, but rain came to Montgomery at about 5 p.m., and didn’t let up for two hours.
The game will be played at 9:45 a.m. Friday. Should the Tigers win, they would advance in the loser’s bracket. Ardmore would need to win two games to advance to the state championship game, and then need to beat the winner’s bracket champion twice to win the title.
Ardmore won its first game Thursday over Shelby County by a 12-4 score, but lost to Hayden 10-6 in its second game.
