A new marshal in town

- Retired Limestone County Sheriff’s Capt. Stanley McNatt and his wife Alice wave Saturday from the back of a horse-drawn buggy during the annual Limestone County Sheriff’s Rodeo Parade in downtown Athens. Riding up front are Brian and Kristie Thomas. Limestone County Sheriff Mike Blakely previously said he had a great admiration for the McNatts, who helped with several Sheriff’s Office events over the years. Rodeo events continue today with the rodeo street dance and fashion show at 6 p.m. at the Limestone County Courthouse Square.
