Elkmont Beautywalk

The 14th annual Elkmont Beautywalk continues today. The infants through preschool division will begin 2 p.m. Grades 6–12 and 12th-grade guys division will be tonight. Tickets $5 at the door. There will be a People’s Choice category to vote for your favorite contestant. Proceeds benefit the Elkmont High School Band.

Plant sale

The Limestone County Master Gardeners Association will have its annual plant sale from 8 a.m.-2 p.m today at the greenhouse behind Athens Middle School. Confederate memorial day

Capt. Thomas H. Hobbs, Camp No. 768, of the Sons of Confederate Veterans will host a program in honor of Confederate Memorial Day at 11 a.m. today in Confederate Circle at Athens City Cemetery. Attendees encouraged to say a few short words about their Confederate ancestors.

Easter dinner

Hearts for Homeless will host a free Easter dinner from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today at Swan Creek Park, 101 U.S. 31, Athens. The purpose of the event is to provide a good meal for anyone in need. Free yoga at the library

Students will cover basic alignment and breathing techniques that can be used in home practices or as entry points for focus in the yoga classes they may already be attending. Chicken dinner

First Cumberland Presbyterian Church will host a whole hog express dinner to raise funds for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Inspirational fisherman

Greenbrier Baptist Church will host fisherman Clay Dyer at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the church at 7939 Greenbrier Road, Madison.
