Wednesday commission meeting to be held in basement

If you plan to attend Wednesday’s work session of the Limestone County Commission, you’ll need to knock on the back door.

The meeting, set for 10 a.m., will go on as planned, but it won’t be held on the main floor of the commission building at 310 E. Washington St. in Athens. Ongoing renovations have forced commission operations to the ground floor of the building, which is where the work session will take place.

Commission Chairman Collin Daly said those wishing to attend should knock on the back door of the commission building to be let inside. He said a county employee would be stationed at the front entrance to redirect meeting attendees to the rear of the building.
