West Alabama auto suppliers to lay off hundreds of workers

TUSCALOOSA (AP) — State officials say more than 300 workers will be laid off from three automotive suppliers in west Alabama.
The Alabama Department of Commerce announced recently that Faurecia Seating intends to lay off 118 workers from its plant in Cottondale beginning May 31.
The Tuscaloosa News reports that another firm, Eberspacher in Northport, will lay off 127 workers beginning June 7.
Also, officials say that Inteva Products will lay off 56 from its Cottondale plant beginning June 5.
