A public apology

Dear Editor:

I feel like I need to make it known, in light of recent events, that I publicly owe Ricky G. Smith a heartfelt apology after his picture being placed in the newspaper as well as social media for “making it hard for me to breathe,” which was very much taken out of context.

Although we were arguing, emotions flared, causing a selfish utterance and an indifferent attitude toward his point of view. Ricky Smith is a good man who wouldn’t hurt a fly unless he was protecting those he loves.

I am beyond words to totally express how very sorry I am for his being publicly embarrassed and humiliated, as well as what he was accused of. I am so very sorry to you Ricky Smith; I hope you can find it within to forgive me. I love you.
