The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in the 16000 block of Huntsville-Brownsferry Road, according to a social media post.

Deputies were told Randall Chambers is the suspect, the post said. Deputies were also told the suspect left on foot.

Tracking dogs from the Limestone Correctional Institute are en route to the scene in an effort to find the suspect.

Medflight was initially called for the victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the chest, according to dispatch reports. Medflight has been canceled, and the victim will be taken to a local hospital via ambulance.
