Prep Baseball: West Limestone rolls past West Morgan

Garrett Tennison tossed a one-hit shutout, and West Limestone’s offense came to life in a 13-0 victory over West Morgan Wednesday.
West Limestone scored all of its runs in just two innings, plating six runs in the top of the second and adding seven more in the fifth.

That was more than enough for Tennison, who needed only 72 pitches to complete five innings of work in picking up the victory.
Alec Baugher led West Limestone with two doubles and three RBIs, while Branson Owens also had two hits, including a double, and three RBIs.
Thorne Slaton and Ryan Britt had three hits each, and Devin Carter drove in two runs.
Athens Bible 12, Clements 1
Athens Bible wasted no time in taking control of Wednesday afternoon’s game against Clements. The Trojans scored all 12 of their runs in the first three innings of the eventual five-inning victory.
Athens Bible score four runs in the bottom of the first, and added two more in the second. The Trojans then scored six in the third to give themselves an 11-run cushion.

Grey Fortenberry pitched the first two innings, with Hayden Pierce, Lee Moyers and Luke Metcalf pitching an inning each to shut down the Colts.
Pierce had three hits, including a home run, and two RBIs, while Gage Johns also had three hits for the Trojans. Metcalf and Clayton Hamm each had a double, while Matthew Usery hit a triple and drove in two runs, and Cade Abernathy also had a hit and an RBI.
Hayden Graves had a solo home run for Clements, while Cole Wales had two hits. Ian Ezell, Jacob Guimarin and Brady Moore also had hits for the Colts.
