Junior Civitan International brings together more than 11,000 middle and high school students from North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Asia in the name of service.
The students participate in service projects in their communities or in their schools with peers who live with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Students learn leadership and life skills by holding office at the local and district levels. They have the opportunity at the junior and senior levels to attend a weeklong leadership conference at Harding University held in the summer.
Graduating seniors may qualify for a scholarship granted annually by the Athens Ladies Club. For information on how to join, contact Lisa White at 256-206-2651.
