I am definitely for making our roads safer but millions of dollars were spent on the cable barriers while the roads are crumbling. They blocked off many of the medians where law enforcement could turn around and go after dangerous drivers and it also is pretty much a death sentence if a motorcyclist runs off the road a little and hits one of the cables and posts. If they can’t afford to repair the roads where are they going to get the money to repair the barriers? Now, politicians need more of your money.
It is disappointing the mayor and council wasted $12,000 ($4,000 for three years) on an app to tell of road closings, etc., with all the social media to alert people that is free. And they paid $300 to set it up. Thought it was already set up? The oldest trick is to give a politician something free and then take it away and their will be a few citizens who say they can’t do without it. This along with the $5,000 wasted on the light bulb sculpture is it any wonder politicians need more of your money to repair roads?
