Centers are open 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Centers close at 12:30 p.m. Fridays.
Menus
Monday: Chicken Florentine, mashed potatoes, Italian flat beans, mandarin oranges, bread, chocolate mini Moon Pie;
Tuesday: Orange juice, lemon pepper chicken thigh, parslied potatoes, rutabagas, bread, chocolate cake,1 percent milk;
Wednesday: Flame-broiled hamburger, baked beans, potato salad, lettuce, tomato, onion, hot peach cobbler, 1 percent milk or chocolate milk;

Thursday: Three-bean beef chili, parslied rice, carrots, fresh fruit, wheat crackers, vanilla mini Moon Pie, milk;
Friday: Roast pork with apple brown gravy, cheesy mashed potatoes, stewed tomatoes, apple sauce, cornbread, oatmeal crème pie, milk or buttermilk.
Announcements
• Tickets for Poke Sallet Follies are now on sale for $35 each at the Council on Aging office, 503 S. Jefferson St., Suite A, Athens. Includes dinner from 306 Barbecue and the show, “The Legends of Limestone: The Myths, The Magic, The Mayhem.” Dinner is served at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:45. Poke Sallet will run from Thursday, March 7, through Saturday, March 9, at the Athens Senior Center, 912 W. Pryor St., Athens.
• Vouchers for free fruits and vegetables can be filled out at Council on Aging office.
• Council on Aging has a program through Senior Rx that helps residents 55 or older or disabled acquire their prescriptions free. Call Carla Sims at 256-233-6412.
