A reader recently donated this heart-shaped potato to The News Courier as a reminder of Valentine’s Day, which is Thursday, Feb. 14. To those out there still trying to think of a gift, remember, it’s the thought that counts, not the cost. Make a homemade Valentine, write a goofy poem or compose a silly song. It won’t be worse than the love spud.
