The event featured several industries and businesses from the North Alabama region. The purpose of the event is to inform and educate high school students about the career opportunities and curriculum requirements needed to land a job. The event also informed students about the workplace skills necessary for placement and advancement.
“The expo connected local companies with students in an effort to bring about networking, career information and educational expectations for future employees,” said Jennifer Williamson, president of the Greater Limestone County Chamber of Commerce. “The event is a great opportunity for the students to engage in career exploration and provide a jump-start in communicating with local businesses.”
