• Preschool registration. New Life Assembly of God is now enrolling students for its child development program. The program is for children aged six weeks to pre-K and runs 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Anyone who recommends someone else is eligible to have $25 off the first week’s tuition. • Presentation. Grace Missionary Baptist Church will present “Birth of the Nation,” a Black History Month celebration. It will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, at the church, 549 W. Elm St., Athens.
