The National Weather Service in Huntsville has placed Limestone, Madison and Morgan counties under a winter storm watch from late Monday through Tuesday morning.

Snowfall of 1-3 inches is possible, which could make travel difficult. Hazardous conditions could impact Tuesday morning travel, the NWS said in a statement.

Cities and towns affected include Athens, Madison, Decatur and Huntsville.
