It looks to be a very competitive tournament for both the varsity girls and boys. West Limestone is the top seed in the girls tournament, bringing a 17-4 record into the contest. The Wildcats are led by freshman Caroline Bachus and junior point guard Cassidy Winter. The team last won the county tournament in 2017.

Ardmore is the No. 2 seed and will receive a bye to the semifinals along with West Limestone. The girls varsity tournament begins at 4 p.m. Monday with No. 4 seed Clements facing off against No. 5 seed Tanner. The winner of that game will face West Limestone at 6:15 p.m. Thursday.

The other girls first-round game will be 6:15 p.m. Tuesday with No. 3 seed East Limestone and No. 6 seed Elkmont facing off. The winner of that game will face Ardmore at 6:15 p.m. Friday.

East Limestone is the defending tournament champion, having defeated Tanner 47-44 in overtime in the championship game.

Boys

The boys tournament also looks extremely competitive, with three teams that look as if they could win the championship.

East Limestone and Tanner are the top two seeds in the tournament and will receive byes to the semifinals.

The Rattlers are the defending tournament champion, defeating West Limestone 43-32 in the title game last year.

The Wildcats are the No. 3 seed and will have a chance to get revenge on the Rattlers if they can get past sixth-seeded Clements in the first-round game at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday. The winner of that game faces Tanner at 7:45 p.m. Friday.

The other first-round game pits No. 4 seed Elkmont and fifth-seeded Ardmore, teams that will play for the fourth time this season. Elkmont won the first two match ups while Ardmore took a one-point victory over the Red Devils earlier this month. That semifinal will be 7:45 p.m. Monday, with the winner taking on East Limestone at 7:45 p.m. Thursday.

Admission to the tournament is $5 per day.
