Athens resident Jamie Curry helped his four children — ages 14, 12, 10 and 7 — get into the Halloween spirit by decorating their yard in the 600 block of Houston Street like a cemetery.

Elsewhere in Athens, on Seventh Avenue, Tashia Baugher and her family have expanded their cemetery to about three times the size of last year’s, which she said brought 250 people to their block. Part of the production is already up, but Baugher said the final result will have fog machines, moving gargoyles and bats, an Annabelle horror movie doll and more for those who visit her home Halloween night.
